NYSPCC Board Member
Maarit Glocer has long been involved in organizations promoting child welfare, including serving as a long time Board member of The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Maarit was born in a small town in the Finnish Arctic Circle and has lived in Helsinki, London, Paris, Tokyo and New York. She is a graduate of Helsinki Business School and a published author and columnist. Maarit is also active in organizations which seek to extend Finland’s successful educational approach to other countries. She currently lives in New York with her husband Tom and has two children, Mariana and Walter.
